Inside The Closet - A Different Review Of 2012

2012 was the year were I finally became comfortable sewing garments (and I am pretty pleased about it). Before that, my focus and talent was more on easy home decor items (bags, covers, totes, etc.). This development would not have been possible without my new serger and I should be thankful that the serger I had before drove me crazy!

Here is my end of the year review from inside my families closet:

Starting with my own closet, I am very happy that I am able to sew my own dresses, tunics, skirts, and shirts (as you can see, the very right one isn´t finished yet, but I´ll work on it later today)!

My daughter has the widest variety in her closet, because I tried out a bunch of different patterns and she is not (yet) as picky as I am, when it comes to the perfect fitting.

For boys it´s always hard to find nice (but not "cute") fabrics. So I ended up doing more crafting than actually sewing for my little boy (even if I did sew the airplane shirt and the sweater in the middle).

There is actually one more member of our family, but I´ve never attempted to sew something for my husband. Well, you never know... 2013 is here...

Happy New (Sewing) Year 2013!
