let´s fly home captain!

We were talking about going to the Hiller Aviation Museum at San Carlos airport every time we passed by on 101 and finally we did it! I have to admit that I was surprised how kids friendly that place was. We couldn´t spend the whole day but there is enough to do for at least 2h and it wasn´t crowded AT ALL.

Be a captain at a Boeing 747 cockpit (and push all the buttons!)

 Helicopter flight simulation

All kinds of flying machines

And we were lucky that they´ve just opened a temporary train exibition at the foyer.

My kids even enjoyed the little ride-on´s

Nice place to take the kids and if your child is crazy about airplanes, you should definitely check it out!

rain and shine

After a tiring rainy day yesterday, we thought we´ll beat the depressing mood with some fun kids activity at the Bay Area Discovery Museum at Sausalito.
What we didn´t know (because it was our first trip up there) was, that most of the exibitions resp. play areas are outside. And even if there are also nice inside exibitions we liked the outside ones the best. But at the end the day turn out perfect because 1. it wasn´t too crowded because of the rainy forecast and 2. it only rained for 10 minutes.

Admission is $11 per person (free parking) but you can get a AAA or foursquare discount.

First of all look at the gorgeous setting. This alone would be worth going.

Very creative music instrument through out the whole area

And look at that view from near the parking area!

Can´t wait to go again...
